HannyGrrrl asks: Where do you see or feel oppression in your daily life? How do you confront and/or navigate your way around it?
"The other day, I was passionately explaining to my boyfriend my views on Planned Parenthood.
He looked at me and said, 'Aw, you're cute when you get all riled up.'
The worst part is that I giggled in response! I know that he meant it in an endearing way, but it pisses me off that society's ultimate compliment to a woman is to praise her looks. Not only that, but we don't elevate other qualities like intelligence, passion, or drive."
